We offer R.E. classes to our children and youth in four different groupings:

"Pre K - 2" (some 4 year olds through 2nd grade),

"Upper Elementary" (3rd grade through 5th grade),

"Middle School" (6th grade through 8th grade) and

"High School" (9th grade through 12th grade).

 Nursery Care:

Infants and toddlers are offered tender, loving childcare by paid staff during all of our Sunday services.

What about my 4-year-old?

We understand that your 4-year-old might not be ready for curriculum-based lessons. We invite parents to register their 4-year-old in either nursery care or the "Pre K - 2" class, according to the child’s personal level of development and interest. Please feel free to consult with our Director of Religious Education (DRE), Rev. Hope Engeseth ( This e-mail address is being protected from spam bots, you need JavaScript enabled to view it ) or our "Pre K - 2" class teachers about your decision.

 SERVICE LEARNING

Our fifth Sunday social justice activities will be preceded by three weeks of preparation and learning so our kids will better understand the context of the actions they take on that fifth Sunday.  We hope they will retain more of what they learn and become more thoughtful and intentional in the ways they serve a cause.  Service backed by Learning = Service Learning.

 SAFETY

We consider the safety of our children and youth to be of utmost importance.  In keeping with the Safe Congregations philosophy, we have in place a set of policies and procedures to promote such safety.  We complete thorough background checks and provide supervision for all of our teachers, assistants and others who milght be involved with our children and youth.

Parents of children fifth grade and younger should drop off and pick up their children at their classrooms before and after the service.  We will not release any child into the cutody of unfamiliar faces unless approved arrangements exist prior to classes.  Parents should wait for classes to end before picking up their children --- Relax, enjoy coffee hour!
